BugLens ("we," "our," or "us") operates the BugLens website and AI identification tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our free identification services.
Images you upload: Photos submitted for identification are processed in real-time and are NOT stored on our servers. Images are transmitted directly to our AI processing pipeline and immediately discarded after the identification response is generated.
Usage data: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our service.
Contact information: If you contact us, we store the information you provide only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
We use collected information to: (a) Provide and improve our identification services; (b) Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve accuracy; (c) Respond to support requests; (d) Prevent fraud and abuse of our services.
All uploaded images are processed by OpenAI's API (GPT-4 Vision). Images are transmitted securely over HTTPS. We do not use your uploaded images for AI training purposes, and images are not retained after processing is complete.
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties except: (a) OpenAI for AI processing; (b) When required by law; (c) With your explicit consent.
